Dr Msomi is a biomedical researcher with a focus on antidiabetic and anti-obesogenic leads to manage lifestyle diseases and overall human health. Her research addresses, the use of medicinal plants as potential sources of novel bioactive compounds, the application of nutraceuticals, functional foods and sugar substitutes in mitigating type 2 diabetes. She holds a MSc and PhD in Biochemistry. She has published several articles in ISI indexed journals in the topic of diabetes treatment.
