Dr Michelle North

Postdoctoral Researcher

Michelle North is a veterinarian with a strong interest in ecosystem health, ‘One Health’, toxicology, and multi/interdisciplinary problem solving. After completing her veterinary studies at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, she went on to obtain a PhD in ecotoxicology from the University of Calgary, Canada (European starlings as sentinels for health effects of urban air pollution). She is currently a postdoctoral researcher supporting the IPCC team at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and hopes to use the experience to learn more intensive cross-disciplinary skills and develop an international network of colleagues.
