Dr Oliver Zishiri
Dr Oliver Zishiri 
 
Dr Oliver Zishiri is a specialist Population and Quantitative Geneticist. He earned the following degrees in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Stellenbosch University in South Africa: BSc Hons, MSc and PhD.

Dr Zishiri is the first black African to be awarded an MSc cum laude (March 2009) well as a PhD (March 2012) in Animal Breeding and Genetics by Stellenbosch University.

Apart from lecturing, Dr Zishiri’s research interests are in the application of Population Genetics, Genomics and Bioinformatics in the conservation of endangered wildlife and domesticated animal species.
